![]() ![]() ![]() (I didn't bother setting up everything after 5:20)īut before you run your new virtual machine, make sure to edit the settings and tick the USB 3.0 option and add the backbone controller as shown in the image below. Here's a rough guide anyways and I'm not 100% how it updated my controller but I did the steps below to get it working somehow.įirst of you got to follow this video up to the 5:20 mark to get the android machine running but can go further if you are going to restart the machine. So you probably need to be pretty confident with command prompt and setting up victual machines to get it working. The process is pretty annoying though and took me several tries. Managed to get my Android controller updated without an android device using a windows PC. I am a first time customer of theirs and had a very rocky start. ![]() In any case, at this point if you've still not heard from them. I'm also wondering if maybe a larger number of units were impacted by the firmware issue than expected and it slowed down their response as they got later in to the Friday & the weekend with support requests coming in. I can't be for sure, but I kind of feel like some of the early people that reached out might have had replacement units hand delivered to a local FedEx Office (no idea if thats true) and thus had fast movement. Replacement arrived to me on 9/25 (FedEx delivered 1 day early than original scheduled date). They shipped a replacement on 9/23 (my original unit is on it's way back to them now). I posted my original comment, submitted warranty claim, and also had a brief interaction with their support on Reddit and they also responded to me on Twitter (I was pretty frustrated at first, haha). My original contact w/ Backbone was probably an hour after FedEx delivered my 15 Pro Max. ![]()
